The short answer is no. You probably don’t even need Wi-Fi 6. Wi-Fi 7 is the latest standard, but most Wi-Fi 7 routers include some expensive features that many people cannot use. For example, the $800 Orbi 970 “Quad-Band” router includes a dedicated 5 GHz “wireless backhaul” channel. That channel is only used if you have installed multiple 970 routers in a “mesh network” configuration. And that would only be useful in a huge home when a single router will not provide coverage. And only if you have many active wireless devices. And only if you do not have an Ethernet backhaul network available. The last significant upgrade in the Wi-Fi standard for most people was probably Wi-Fi 5, which added the 5 GHz band. Wi-Fi 6 is the current mainstream standard. If you were installing a new router today, you would find that Wi-Fi 6 is the current minimum, but you can buy a competent Wi-Fi 6 router for $70. If you already have a Wi-Fi 5 router, and it is working well for your situation, there is no need to upgrade. Enjoy.
